Ah, that bittersweet moment when you’re shooting your last wedding of the year. So many emotions. I shot Laken and Nico’s wedding in late November, after moving it from September (since Nico is in the military and had a conflict in his schedule). Luckily, it didn’t seem to be a problem for anyone, and the day ran smoothly as ever!
The entire day took place at the Barn at Madison, which kept all vendors hustling about the same location. There was hair and makeup on location, DJ, caterers, and videographers. To me, it was almost like some fairytale event was taking place with all of the preparation I witnessed throughout the day. And to be honest, for the bride and groom, I guess it really was.
Laken and Nico have been together for I think roughly ten years, so tying the knot over handwritten vows had most of the ceremony speechless and teary-eyed. As chilly as it was for late November, I was grateful for a super cloudy sky, but no rain, for the outdoor seating.
To my newlyweds:
I hope the day was everything you’d been hoping for all of these years, and hopefully reviewing these images will always take you back to that day! Congrats, guys!
